Hey all, just posting to update you on comic status--I actually am working on it! Holy wow, it feels good to be working on something that no one is requiring of me. Just doing something for fun and the sake of learning. Yeeeeaaah man. :3
Anyway, I am getting the plot ironed out still, but lots of scenes are bouncing around in my skull wanting out and so I occassionally sit down to doodle up something in the "style" of the comic, as evidenced above. I'm trying to work out an easy method of working that's going to be quick but at the same time look decent. Thinking this method might be simple enough: drawn in Open Canvas 1.1 and some color slapped on in Photoshop. Should warm me up to PS, eventually. Which is one of my goals with this project.
Thinking in terms of pages is something new to me, so I'm guessing each page is going to be at least a couple of hours of work...so no idea when you guys will start seeing those. I'm going to start doing some storyboarding soon to figure out the flow and everything before I actually do pages, but I'll try to post updates on how that's going with little snippets of in-progress work.
So anyway, enjoy this sketch of adolescent Cliff(name possibly changing) looking shocked. :0 Probably at something his brother did.
